Sadly, drunk driving, or driving under the influence (DUI) as it is more commonly known, occurs more frequently than one might think. To drive drunk is a serious offense, and it rarely happens by accident. BEFORE one starts to consume alcoholic beverages, one has the opportunity to review their personal history with alcohol and, if necessary, prepare themselves accordingly. If a drinker has a history of not recognizing or respecting others indicating that they have had too much to drink to drive, they should proactively take measures to prevent the possibility of getting behind the with with a blood alcohol level in excess of legal limits.
